Charles M. Bartlett

Sr. Managing Consultant

Mr. Bartlett, a Sr. Managing Consultant with The Secura Group’s Credit Risk Management Practice, has over nineteen years of experience in the financial services industry including thirteen as a consultant with Secura.  He is actively involved in conducting loan portfolio reviews, due diligence examinations and credit process engagements.  Specific engagement experience includes developing a comprehensive risk management program for a regional bank, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of a nationwide retail lending network and evaluating the effectiveness of the credit process for community and regional banks.  He also conducts ongoing loan review services for several institutions.  Mr. Bartlett has also performed numerous risk management assignments involving anti-money laundering and the Bank Secrecy Act, fair lending, compliance and the Community Reinvestment Act.  His consulting experience spans all size institutions throughout the United States.

Before joining The Secura Group, Mr. Bartlett worked for an investor group that was formed to purchase failing banks in Texas.  He served as a key member of the investor group’s acquisition team.  The acquisition team helped to assemble a five billion dollar regional banking franchise that was ultimately sold for 2.4 times book value.  Mr. Bartlett also has regulatory experience stemming from his three year tenure with the Texas Department of Banking.

Mr. Bartlett graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas.
