LONNQUIST, TLOU ARE NEW PARTNERS AT THE SECURA GROUP

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Secura Group, one of the nation’s leading financial services consulting firms, today announced the appointment of Wendi A. Lonnquist and Leeto J. Tlou as partners in the firm.

Ms. Lonnquist advises Secura clients on credit and regulatory compliance matters, including the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and fair lending laws. Mr. Tlou advises Secura clients on risk management and the financial analysis of banks, including banking regulation as it pertains to these practice areas.

Ms. Lonnquist worked for Secura from 1994-1997 and then rejoined the firm in 2001 after four years as a manager with KPMG Consulting, specializing in compliance and regulatory consulting for large financial institutions, mortgage companies and credit card banks.

She began her career in lending, regulatory compliance and internal audits at Homestead Savings Bank in California. She also worked at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as a compliance examiner in the OCC’s Western Region.

Ms. Lonnquist graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Mr. Tlou joined The Secura Group in 2000 after eight years with the Federal Reserve Board. At the Board he was a senior analyst working in the Capital Markets, Financial Analysis and International Banking Divisions.

Late in his Board service, he was a supervisory financial analyst in charge of treasury management at financial institutions with assets ranging from $50 million to more than $750 billion. Earlier, he was a senior financial analyst in charge of risk management and modeling at financial institutions. He was responsible for crafting policies and procedures in treasury management for financial institutions, including liquidity and interest rate risk. He also analyzed various banking businesses ranging from venture capital to high-yield underwriting activities.

Mr. Tlou is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Masters of Business Administration degree and an emphasis on finance and the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.
